Beading and Jewelry Special Requirements

New Threads in any of the categories listed within Beading and Jewelry shall follow the standard set of Rules for Creating a New Thread. Please be sure to read the Uploading Rules in addition to this Thread prior to creating a new Thread.

- Uploading Member will search the Forum to ensure that the new Attachment does not already exist. Members may not upload duplicate Designs or Patterns.
- The Attachment name must be in English. This means the physical file name must be in English and not contain foreign characters, the content may be in any Language.
- The Attachment must be complete in that all necessary instructions are included.
- In the case of a .RAR set or .ZIP, all .RAR files must be uploaded.
- The Attachment must be legible. It can not be blurry or difficult to read. Illegible Attachments will be deleted
- The Thread Topic must follow the proper naming convention and specify the Attachments actual name as given by the Designer and the Designer Name.

- Magazine and Book uploads will follow the proper naming convention: Magazine Name, Issue Number and/or Date of Publication, Author.
- Individual patterns which are taken from a Magazine or Book should be posted in the correct Craft Category and not the Magazine Category. Members may not charge more than 5 Diamonds for these types of threads. Please indicate in the body of the thread the Magazine or Book Name, Issue or Publication Date and pages the attachment appeared if known. Additionally if the full version of the Magazine or Book has already been uploaded please provide a link to it in your thread.

- Attachments must be 10MB or smaller. Please use WinRAR to create Archive Sets when files are larger than 10MB

Cross Stitch Attachment Requirements


Cross Stitch Special Requirements

Color Printed is now a required field in all Cross Stitch Uploads. Color Printed means the type of Chart. Either it is Color, Color with symbols, No means it is Black and White.

New Threads in any of the categories listed within Cross Stitch shall follow the standard set of Rules for Creating a New Thread. Please be sure to read the Uploading Rules in addition to this Thread prior to creating a new Thread.
Note: A Scanned Pattern is a Pattern that has been scanned by a scanner and saved as an image or PDF. A Repaint Pattern is a pattern created using special Cross Stitch Software. Please be sure you put your Thread in the correct Forum.

Repaint and Scans
We do not accept a file in the Scanned Section of Cross Stitch that was exported from a Repaint Application as a .PDF or JPG, they are considered duplicates. Scans must be actual scans of documents.
Repaint documents must have either the .XSD or .PAT extension

Special Requirements for Cross Stitch Attachments are as follows:
Repaint Section
The only file format that is permitted in this forum are: .XSD and .PAT
Patterns created by other Software Applications or PDF's are not permitted in this Forum.
If an attachment is larger than the allowed upload size it may be put in .RAR set format or .ZIP.

Child - Children and Toddler clothing, slippers, shoes or hats that only a Toddler (sizes 2T to 4T) or Child (sizes 5 and above) can wear or Items which are sized infant to Child should be placed here.
Infant - Infant Clothing, booties, anything that only an infant can wear. Sizes Newborn to 24 Months
Accessories - hats, shoes, scarves etc.
Home - Household items such as doilies, tea cozies, wash cloths, afghans, table cloth etc.
Infant Toy - Toys created for Infants specifically such as blankies, rattles, etc.
Toys - Any toy or Amigurumi that is not designed for an infant. This includes Dolls that look Human and are stuffed.
Fashion Doll - A Fashion doll is a Barbie Doll. This would include dress patterns either from yarn or thread specifically designed for a Barbie Doll or larger. Clothing for any size Doll may be placed here. Any other type of Doll that is a stuffed Doll should be placed in Toys.

Rules for Uploading an Attachment and New Thread

Free Online Patterns
Currently TrulyDIY does allow for the upload of certain patterns or designs that are found on the Internet for Free. There are, however, certain restrictions that will apply to these types of Attachments. Certain Crafts such as Crochet and Knitting specifically should be placed in their correct Free Forum.
- Members must indicated in their Thread that the attachment is available online for free
- Members may not charge an excessive fee for attachments
- Members may not charge other Members to view their Thread.
Attachments that do not follow the above Rules will be removed.

Because certain Sites are easily accessed by most individuals attachmentsfrom the following Companies are not permitted to be uploaded or placed in a Tutorial Thread:
Cross Stitch Related Sites:
Crochet and Knitting Related sites: Any company that offers free patterns, some examples would be Red Heart, Carron, Drops Designs, etc. These items will now be housed in a special Free Section of each Craft Category going forward as of September 1st 2014.
Other Sites:
*Please note that in the case that any of the Sites listed above offer free items that fall under different categories than listed, they will not be permitted. The above listed sites are placed into categories by their most common product.

Image and Attachment Restrictions:
Members may not, at any time, post any content regardless of type, that is considered adult or mature in theme. Images and or Attachments that are not "PG" rated will not be permitted. These posts will be removed and the offending Member may lose their posting priveledges permanently. If you come across any content that you feel is inappropriate in nature please Report the offending content immediately.
Attachments must be 10MB or smaller. Please use WinRAR to create Archive Sets when files are larger than 10MB

Cover Images may not contain a Watermark from other Forums or Web Sites. Watermarks from the Designer are acceptable.
Cover Images (the image in the Thread) may not be larger than 600kb.
